Persona:
Yuan-ti Name: Vilik-Aras
Human Alias: Luther
Occupation: Cleric of Merrshaulk (Known as Ssseth)

Demeanour: Yuan-ti are known to be a rather heartless species, this mold is not broken by Vilik. However the Pureblood Yuan-ti tend to live among Humanity for the greater part of their life, this is also a mold left unbroken by Vilik. Much like his Pureblood brethren he has inherited a certain, undenyable serpentine smoothness in his personality. Welcomming and pleasant he greets strangers. He spares no verbal blows against his enemies, but would never do something utterly crass agains them. One may assume that these are all a facade to hide his true intentions, whatever they may be. Yuan-ti generally consider themselves a pinnacle of life. Scale-less creatures are lesser to them. This arrogance, however. Is not shared or given a worthy thought by Vilik. He has instead embraced human civilization, more on that in his personal history.

Physical denominations: While they looks practically human, the Yuan-ti Pureblood have a few distinct differences to them. For starters, their eyes look more snakelike, this is expresses itself predominantly in their slitted pupil. They usually have a lightly scaled skin that carries a subtle green, red or blue hue or any combination of thereoff. Finally, they also have a forked tongue.

Racial history:
Long before humans dominated the continent of Faerûn, the Creator Races ruled Toril. The reptilian Creator Race, the sarrukh, were foremost amongst these and built up great empires. They bred the first yuan-ti by magically experimenting with and breeding men with snakes. They eventually fell from power and the resourceful yuan-ti rose up to claim their Creators' power vacuum, even while sustaining the empire of Mhairshaulk. Of the fragmented World Serpent deity that the sarrukh had worshiped, the yuan-ti venerated the strongest aspect, a cruel and despotic deity, Merrshaulk, who grew distant and aloof.
As the yuan-ti's power became less visible on Faerûn, and they instead fell to infiltrating human and demihuman society through their organizations and long-sighted plots, Merrshaulk had sunk into a slumber, ignoring his followers. Eventually, around the time of the collapse of the human empire of Netheril, Merrshaulk himself was also reborn as a winged yuan-ti avatar named Sseth, who became the yuan-ti's new primary deity. In the end, though, Sseth too sank into somnolence.
At this point some sarrukh, long suffering a heavy war on other planes or sunken in hibernation in their ruins, began to return in some numbers. They crucially needed help from their deity, but Sseth was not answering prayers in his slumber. So for aid in their endeavors some of the sarrukh made a bargain with the Mulhorandi deity Set, that put Sseth into a deeper sleep but allowed Set to assume Sseth's mantle and grant the sarrukh their aid. Most yuan-ti do not even know of this transaction, though now Sseth struggles at his bonds some are being made aware of it.

Personal History:
Vilik hails from House Sseradess as an Agent of Ssseth. After beeing hatched, trained and schooled in basic combat and the doctrines of their faith, he was sent out discover why Ssseth is so troubled. He would infiltrate human lands and investigate untill he would find something. While he hasn't booked any remarkable progress on the matter, he 'had' made some revealing discoveries regarding the hand of the Sarrukh of Okoth in the matter and that Ssseth is somehow forced to slumber down in the Abyss, but Set's involvement is completely unknown to him. These findings were not entirely accepted by his superiors in the strict heirarchy of their society, most notably by his childhood rival Szass-Pir, whom had always scorned him. After weeks of theological debate, Szass and Vilik had their fued run out of hand. Vilik murderdered his rival in cold blood over the heated, escalated matter. It was then decided that he was to be Exiled from the house. Vilik scorned their narrow minded approach on the matter, and left without regrets. The following years he would integrate himself in the human civilizations of West-Faerun, still searching for the truth behind Ssseth's troubles. During these times he learned to appreciate his human heiritage for what it was. While still viewing himself in a better light than Humanity, he does tollerate them to a greater extend. He would also don a Human Alias, Luther, as he has come to be known to this day.

How did the character get to Siranda:
Myths of flying serpents hailed from across the seas. Perhaps in Mazticia he would find new answers to the questions that haunt him. Yet, the boat trip from Waterdeep was short lived when a Kraken decided to tear down their ship. Vilik would survive the encounter, unsure whether he was the only survivor left. And yet, in the greatest of fortune. . .Or unfortune, he would find an Island hidden betwixt the horizon mist. Siranda, as you all coined it. He swum to there, and his story would resume here.

How I demonstrate that I know how to play this creature: I deign to demonstrate by example. Cool

I like this, and from past experience with you man, I'm fairly confident you'll cakewalk this. Moment to check with the others before I finalise it.

Given there are only three DMs active at current, and two approve, this is now approved. See a DM about character generation.
