<Race Desired>
Half-Giant

<Statistics assosciated with the creature>

Half-giants are able to use weapons sized for creatures larger than normal humans.

Fire Acclimated (Ex): Half-giants have a +2 racial bonus on saving throws against all fire spells and effects.

Powerful Build (Ex): The physical stature of half-giants lets them function in many ways as if they were one size category larger. Whenever a half-giant is subject to a size modifier or special size modifier for an opposed check (such as during grapple checks, bull rush attempts, and trip attempts), the half-giant is treated as one size larger if doing so is advantageous to him. A half-giant is also considered to be one size larger when determining whether a creature's special attacks based on size (such as improved grab or swallow whole) can affect him. A half-giant can use weapons designed for a creature one size larger without penalty. However, his space and reach remain those of a creature of his actual size. The benefits of this racial trait stack with the effects of powers, abilities, and spells that change the subject's size category.

+2 Constitution, +2 Strength, -2 Dexterity

Low-light vision

Level adjustment: +1 (According to source)

<Biography>

Jacob Turner mother lived in Luskan.. One day, an uncommon meeting between her and a younger, moderately-sized giant occured, and he was the results. Growing up in Luskan was hell. As he grew it became more evident what he was. His mother was beaten bi-weekly because of the simple fact she was with such a beast in the first place, let alone birthing one herself. Himself? People usually left him alone unless they were armed, beat-downs for the most part were vented upon his mother because of his unnatural strength, though once a month, he may have recieved one himself.

The older that Jacob became, the more he realized what has happening, that he was different, and that somebody had been hurting his mother. One fateful day, he was almost sixteen summers old when it happened. His mother was out and he decided to take some gold to the market to buy himself a meal. On his way, he heard a scuffle in a nearby alley. He looked to find that a group of drunkards were once again taking out their racist hate upon his mother.. Enraged by such a sight, he took the nearest object, a very large and thick board, a proceeded to rush to the defense of his mother. The fight ended in bloodshed. Jacob had recieved a few bruises from the scuffle, but in the end, four corpses lay fresh below his feet. His mother was horrified to see that he had killed four people, but moreso horrified to think of what would become of him should the Luskan population even 'think' he was guilty of such a thing, while Jacob didn't think a thing of it. He despised men of the human race completely at this point and thought of his actions as delivering justice. There was in fact a certain satisfaction of beating them down with such a large object.

Upon returning home Jacob's mother would realize that it's time that her son knew the truth, and the whole truth. Upon hearing it, to say Jacob was suprised was a little bit of an understatement, but after today's happenings they both agreed on one thing; it was time for him to leave Luskan before the local population found the bodies and suspected either of them for such a crime. Jacob's mother would have delved into savings, handing him a large purse of gold, folding his fingers over it, and telling him with tear-filled eyes, "Get as far away from this place as possible." And so he did. He had heard of a place called Sirandra, far away from the mainland and decided that Sirandra was the place that he wanted to go. Off to the docks with him to begin his new life!

To summarize the rest of the story of him getting to Sirandra, the dock workers were 'very' uncomfortable, but the Captain more than welcomed his coin.

Upon arriving in Kalaram, it was less-than-suprising to Jacob that he was eyeballed by almost everyone in the docks. Though he was suprised to see many races gathered in one place.. it was unfortunate that he was the only of his kind that he could see. He still have a little bit of coin left over from his trip, and decide to use it to buy some travelling supplies and rations for a trip. He was off to find himself a job.

To Baraban, to Aneddhel, to Faeloth, no job was there to be found! Rather, there was no job that any employer was willing to give to such a beast. His last option was Luca, the frozen city.. He stepped into the Frostward inn, and to summarize that visit, he quickly replaced the local bouncer there. Geared with only his trousers, and his harness, and a very big club, he made sure for a long time that the patrons behaved, or else. For years he made a living this way, until the outbreak that was.

He was on the job when it happened, there was screaming outside. As the bouncer, he was one of the first to investigate it. It was a single undead that had managed to get into the walls somehow. Without hesitation he made it little more than a rotting, unorganized heap of flesh. Content with his work, and with the thanks of the man he had saved, he turned to return to the job when he heard more screaming, and soon enough the sounding of the alarms. The undead were attacking in mass.

They were both inside the city and out. He ran across blocks, mauling any undead that he came by, and reducing them to piles of... ick. Then he heard something that sent chills up his spine, an ungodly roar, and the splintering of wood. He ran, turned the corner to peek into the central couryard, and the gates had been smashed to oblivion. A massive abomonation of an armored zombie stepped in, many times larger than him, simply grabbing, eating, smashing, and squashing everything living in sight, and stepping on simply -anything- that was in its way. He knew he had met his match at this point and hid in the place that he knew the best.. the inn. Whilst the survivors were boarding themselves inside of the inn, he quickly, along with a few employees, opened a hidden door behind the bar, and slipped into the booze cellar.

Days passed, and the those within the cellar including himself made coordinated raids for food and water to keep the lot of them alive. Some of them never came back. Every day they heard the stomping and roaring of that vicious beast, and occasionally the screams of the survivor that they had sent to get them food before the rumbling of the giant's fist against the ground, where the survivor once was.

Hunger grasped him now, and the rest of the.. two survivors left in the cellar. And while the two of them never left, James had enough. He left the cellar, and peeked outside to see the beast stalking the courtyard.... It was now or never. With a kick off the ground, he bolted out and with his strong limbs rushed towards the open gate to Luca.. The massive beast caught sight of him, let out a bellowing roar, and tried to head him off, but the 'slowness' that came with being undead was what allowed him to escape. He stared at the hole in the ground upon leaving the gates.. It looked like it was freshly made. He took his chances and ran through it, nagivating the tunnels blindly having put all of his hope in that these tunnels were made by the living and would lead to some sort of safehouse. Fortunately there were no undead to be found until he hit the other side...

His first thought was that he was upset to see snow, still.. He didn't much care for it. The second was that he was upset to be greeted by the shambling dead.. Thinking nothing of it he brought up his trusted club, and made mincemeat out of the beasts. He realized he was in Faeloth, and from there he plotted a course to the capital of Kalaram. If anybody was alive they would have made shelter there.

So began his hike to New Kalaram.. killing undead in his wake.... He decided that through surviving and killing his fair share of undead, he would have passed any trials that his Giant kin could have thrown at him should he have been raised upon them, and therefore decided to give himself his own simpler name.. since he didn't exactly look like a Jacob Turner... Yes, Shatter Skull fit him nicely considering the trademark batting of heads with his club.. By the end of this long train of thought and semi-concious beat-down of nearby undead, he stumbled upon New Kalaram.

And so began his true adventure . . . . .

Statistics:
Human-Given Name: Jacob Turner
Self-Given Name: Shatter Skull
Age: 20
Height: 7' 6''
Weight: 332 lbs
Build: Muscular
Hair/Full Facial Hair: Black
Eye: Brown

Misc:

I was hoping that I could get a two-handed weapon with the club appearance, similar to the one Haven was using to 'try' bringing down a wall with a slight damage bonus to bludgeon. Nothing too powerful. The giant was particularly fond if this club in his career as a bouncer and even named himself after it. It was his Skull Shatterer.

Because of his upbringing in Luskan, he -hates- other men, especially human men.

I have one question with this, primarily. How exactly would this be represented? Half-Giants usually stand in the region of 10' tall or something, so a 6' human model is fairly out of the question. Even if this one -is- a shortarse at 7 and a half.

Also, none of the dynamic models are considered to be Large size category, thus there is an issue.

Thoughts?

According to the statistics of the Half-Giant, as large as they are, they're still qualified as a medium-sized creature. That's why I thought that 7 1/2-foot tall might be a bit more realistic given the size catagory that they're in, but if I was incorrect with such I can always change the height. As for physical appearances we can make the character and experiment with models for a bit if that's not too much to ask.

They're medium creatures, but 'qualify' as large in certain scenarios or against certain rolls. Since this cannot be implimented on the character itself I think it's best to keep that thing IC.

As far as large size, it'd be applied if you were anything of the size of say a Minotaur or larger, in terms of your model, but the awkward thing -is- the model.

Feel free to make a test character so we can tweak models some but don't take it as given or final just yet.

I'm pretty experienced with the DM Client, Hence being a DM Elsewhere. There is a special widget in Items> Custom and somewhere in the CEP 2.- Something Pallete there is a item called the CEP Creature Wizard. You can add special effects to monsters that will stay until removed or change their sizes. Works on PC and NPC's, Appearances, Tails, Wings, Portraits, You name it. Just don't use the Skin/Color option on a PC, it will break their character. You cannot change the characters name, description or levels with this widget either. It only works for NPC's. I love you

Approved, on the condition that if proven to be substandard in application of concept, then it can be disposed of readily.
